Many thanks to all those who participated in the 21st Annual Cecil & Ruth Gilbert Memorial Golf Match at Dunstanburgh Castle Golf Course on 28th August 2023.

This year we slightly changed our Junior Format, and did a 1 hole challenge.

Overall a total almost £1800 was raised from the golf, buffet, raffle, sponsors and auction.
This year half of the money was donated to Cancer Cars of Berwick and the remaining amount was split between Embleton Girl Guides, Squirrels and the Embleton Playpark. Many thanks to Monica Cornall - who runs the Embleton Girl Guides - as well as Scarlett and Rufus for selling the raffle tickets on the day.
My dear friend Canon Christopher Smith has been the Master of Ceremonies for many years and played a key part in running the event. This year he helped guide my granddaughter Scarlett Gilbert who led the auction and raised as much money as possible. She did this with great confidence and enthusiasm. I’m grateful to Chirstopher, Monica Cornall and Lord Timothy Kirkhope for speaking to the assembled guests.
